Questions about the website plan

Straight answers on price, the build, edits, ownership and the minimum term. If yours isn’t here, ask it on a call.

Price and tax

What does the website plan cost?

CA$249 a month plus a one-off setup fee of CA$499, plus applicable taxes. There is one plan, with no tiers, no add-on bundles and no promotional price. The minimum term is 12 months from the day your site goes live, then it continues month to month.

Which taxes are added to the price?

Prices are shown before sales tax. Depending on your province, GST, HST, PST or QST may apply. The tax on your invoice depends on where your business is and on the registration of the business that supplies the plan, which is named on this site before launch. We don't show a tax rate we can't confirm.

Can I cancel during the first 12 months?

You can give written notice at any time, but the monthly fees for the rest of the 12-month minimum term stay payable. The exception is if we seriously breach the plan terms and don't fix it within 14 days of you telling us: then you can end the plan without paying the rest of the term.

Building the site

How long does it take to get my site live?

The site goes live within 14 days of us receiving your content. The clock starts once we have the items on the content checklist: business details, service areas, the products you install, photos, the prices or price ranges you want shown, and access to your domain. If something is missing, we tell you what it is.

Can the site have a quote request form?

Yes. The quote form asks the questions a window and door company needs before a measure: which openings, how many, the type of home, the timeline and how to reach the homeowner. Submissions go to your email. Each form states what the homeowner’s details are used for.

Can I show reviews from my customers?

Yes, where they are real. We can link to your Google Business Profile reviews and place customer quotes you have written permission to publish. We never write or invent reviews, and the Competition Act requires a testimonial to have been made by the person and approved for publication.

Do I need to be technical?

No. You answer the content checklist, send photos and approve the design. When something changes, you email the edit you want. You never need to log in to a website builder unless you want to.

Content and edits

Do you write the text for my website?

No. Writing your content is not part of the plan. You supply the words, photos, product details and prices, and we lay them out, format them and place them on the right pages. We send a content checklist with plain questions so you know exactly what to send.

What counts as a content edit?

One change you ask for on an existing page: new photos for the gallery, an updated product line, changed hours, a new service area, revised financing wording or a seasonal note. Up to 5 edits a month are included. New page types, new features or a redesign are quoted separately, and nothing is charged without your written agreement.

Can my site show ENERGY STAR ratings for the windows I sell?

Your site can show the performance values printed on each model’s label, such as the U-factor and Energy Rating, and can say a model is ENERGY STAR certified if that model is certified in Canada. You supply the model details and confirm them. We don’t add certification claims ourselves, and this site does not certify anyone.

Ownership and data

Who owns the domain name?

You do. The domain is registered in your business name, with your business as the registrant, and you pay the registrar directly. If you already own a domain, we connect the new site to it. If the plan ends, we help you point the domain wherever you choose.

Who owns the words and photos on my site?

Your business keeps ownership of everything it supplies: text, photos of your installs, your logo, product details and prices. We keep the rights in our own code and templates. When the plan ends, we send you a copy of the content you supplied on request.

Where is my customers’ information stored?

Inquiries from your site are sent to you and held only to deliver them, keep the site secure and count them for your monthly report. We don’t sell them or use them for our own marketing. The privacy policy lists the services involved and where they are based.

Term and leaving

What happens after the 12-month minimum term?

The plan continues month to month at the same price unless we give you at least 30 days of written notice of a change. Either side can end it with written notice before the next billing date, and it finishes at the end of the month already paid for.

What happens to my site if I leave?

We stop hosting it at the end of the notice period, send you the content you supplied on request, and help you point your domain to a new host. Because we keep the rights in our code and design system, the site itself isn’t transferred, but your words, photos and domain are yours.

Is it right for you

Does the plan include Google Ads or SEO campaigns?

Paid advertising and ad spend are not included. The site is built with clean page structure, titles, descriptions and structured data so search engines can read it, but we don’t promise rankings, traffic or a number of inquiries. Google says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking.

Will the website get me more jobs?

We can’t promise that, and anyone who does is guessing. What the site does is show homeowners the products you install, the areas you cover and how to request a quote, on a fast page that works on a phone. The monthly report shows how many inquiries came through the site.

Do you build sites for companies outside Canada?

No. This plan is for window and door businesses operating in Canada, and every page, legal document and price is written for Canada. It is sold to businesses only, not to homeowners.

I already paid for a website that never worked. Why is this different?

The price is fixed and published, the scope is written in the plan terms, and edits are part of the monthly fee instead of separate invoices. You see and approve the site before it goes live. If we seriously breach the terms and don't fix it within 14 days, you can leave without paying the rest of the term.

Two answers above rest on published rules: Google says it offers no way to request or pay for a better local ranking 1 , and the Competition Act sets the conditions for publishing a testimonial 2 .

Ask the question that isn’t here

On a short call we look at how you sell today, which products and areas your site should cover, and what you would need to send. There is no obligation, and nothing is signed on the call.

CA$249 a month plus a CA$499 setup fee, plus applicable taxes, 12-month minimum term.
