Websites for entry and patio door installers

For companies whose main work is front doors, sidelites and transoms, patio doors and storm doors.

Who your customers are and what they ask

A door buyer is choosing something they will see every day, so the decision is as much about looks as performance. They want to see styles, glass inserts, finishes and hardware before they talk to anyone. Many want to visit a showroom or see a sample before they commit.

The other question is disruption. A front door is the one opening a household can’t do without for a day, especially in winter. Buyers want to know how long the opening is exposed, whether the trim and threshold are replaced, and whether the door can be installed in cold weather.

The jobs your site has to sell

Entry door replacement
Steel or fibreglass slab and frame, often with new sidelites.
Sidelites and transoms
Added or replaced around an entry door, changing the rough opening.
Patio doors
Sliding or hinged patio doors, often replacing an old aluminum slider.
Storm doors
Added in front of an entry door, sold with or without a new door.
Garden and side doors
Smaller jobs that often come with a larger order.

What the website must show

Requirements, entry and patio door installers
ItemWhy it matters
Door styles with finishes and inserts Buyers shortlist by looks first. Each style page carries the options you can order.
Sidelite and transom options Changing the opening changes the job. Showing the options early avoids a surprise at the measure.
Hardware photographed on real installs Handlesets and smart locks sell the door. Photos from your jobs beat catalogue images.
Showroom hours and visit booking If you have a showroom, booking a visit is often the real first step, not a quote.
Winter install explained How you keep the house warm and secure on install day answers the main objection.
Service area Door installs are local jobs. List where you go.

A page structure that fits

A starting point. The final structure follows your content checklist and what you actually sell.

  1. P-01 Home Door type tabs, a showroom visit button, recent installs.
  2. P-02 Entry doors Styles, slab materials, glass inserts, sidelites and transoms.
  3. P-03 Patio doors Sliding and hinged options, sizes, screens.
  4. P-04 Storm doors Styles and what they add in front of an existing door.
  5. P-05 Hardware Handlesets, deadbolts and smart locks you install.
  6. P-06 Installing in winter Install day step by step, and what the homeowner needs to do.
  7. P-07 Visit or quote Showroom hours and the quote form.

Questions the quote form asks

The form collects what you need before the first call, and nothing more. Each question below is a tap or a short answer on a phone.

Form fields
QuestionAnswers
Which door? Front entry, patio, storm, side or garden
Keep or change the opening? Same size, add sidelites, not sure
Glass in the door? None, small insert, full glass, not sure
How would you like to start? Showroom visit, measure at home, pricing by email

Name, email and phone come last, with a note saying what they are used for.

Things to get right on this kind of site

  • Style pages grow stale when a supplier drops a line. Keep them tied to what you can still order, and use monthly edits to retire old styles.
  • Security claims about locks and doors need to come from the product’s own documentation. The site repeats what the maker states, no more.
  • If you are a service-area business that doesn’t receive customers, your Google profile should hide the address; the website can still list a showroom if you have one.

Google’s guidelines say a service-area business should keep one profile with a designated service area and hide its address if customers don’t visit it 1 .

Questions from entry and patio door installers

Can customers book a showroom visit on the site?

The site can carry a booking button for visits if you use a calendar tool, or a visit request on the quote form. Either way, the page shows your showroom hours as you supply them.

I sell doors and some windows. Which page structure fits?

Lead with doors on the home page and add a windows section. The structure is built from your content checklist, so it follows what you actually sell.

Can the site show door finishes?

Yes, from photos and finish names you supply. Phone screens show finishes differently, so the page can suggest seeing a sample in person.
